Immigrants Share Journey on ‘The Death Train’ to America
Immigrants from south of the border are willing to risk everything they have for a shot at making it to The United States. For some, especially those with very little money or resources, “La Bestia” a nickname given to a network of Mexican freight trains that are utilized by U.S.- bound immigrants to quickly navigate through Mexico. 400,000 and 500,000 immigrants – the majority of whom are from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras – ride these dangerous trains, risking life altering injuries in the effort to reach the United States. Channel 4 News correspondent Guillermo Galdos follows a group of immigrants on their journey for a better life.
