A Second Immigrant Has Died In ICE Detention
Injustice is brewing in ICE detention: 43-year-old Cuban immigrant named Roylan Hernández Diáz died at The Richwood Correctional Center in Louisiana this month. He had no prior criminal background aside from his immigration charge. What’s even more jarring is that Hernández Diáz is the second immigrant to die in U.S. custody this month alone. There have been a total of eight deaths in ICE detention last year, but two in one month is setting up for a grim start. CBS News immigration reporter Camilo Montoya-Galvez joined CBSN to discuss the latest on the investigation.
