Latinx Heritage Month Feature: Mario Molina
Latinxs are everything. They’re artists, journalists, war heroes, even contributors to some of the most important scientific discoveries in all of history. Take for example Latinx chemist Mario Molina. Molina was responsible for discovering the antarctic hole in the ozone layer. Yes, that hole – the one that if left undiscovered – would have destroyed 65% of the Ozone layer by the year 2065. Believe it or not, nobody took Molina serious for many years. When they finally did, though, they finally presented Molina with the NASA Exceptional Scientific Achievement Award, The Nobel Prize, and The Presidential Medal of Freedom.
