What Does Latinx mean?

Latinx is the gender neutral term for Latino or Latina. In a language as heavily gendered as Spanish, using “Latinx” and “elles/ellxs” is a way to be inclusive of non-binary and transgender Latinx people, as well as a way to challenge the machista and patriarchal cultures of the past.
