Latinx is the gender neutral term for Latino or Latina. In a language as heavily gendered as Spanish, using “Latinx” and “elles/ellxs” is a way to be inclusive of non-binary and transgender Latinx people, as well as a way to challenge the machista and patriarchal cultures of the past.

Here is Elles: Being Non binary and Latinx, a short film about non-binary Latinx people across the US speaking their truth. Tune in to learn more about Latinx identities and cultures as they are emerging today.
