Weekly Video Horoscope: January 6th- 12th, 2020
This week leads up to a big Saturn-Pluto conjunction on Sunday, January 12th. This event only happens once every 35 years or so– you’ll probably only see this twice in your lifetime (unless we figure out bio-hacking in the next 20 years. Totally likely). The last decade has brought a lot of change to the structures and foundations that used to hold up life around us. Institutions have failed, collective movements have risen, and the power to change the world is now centered in communal action over single leadership. Whatever structures you feel are missing in your life right now will soon be replaced with new ones. But this time around, you get to choose. What will you call in?
All that you are, all that you have, and all that you aspire to be has been shaped by the people who brought you into this world. This doesn’t only mean your parents— this means the friends, siblings, and chosen family that you have invited into your heart over this lifetime. They, too, have played a big part in your achievements up to this moment.
As this Full Moon comes to term, so will your understanding of just how much you depend on those you love to see your vision through to fruition. You are not working alone. You are fulfilling the dreams of those that came before you— your vision is their vision.Your heart is their heart. Your dream is the accumulation of every dream that came before you. Trust the direction you want to take, not only because it is yours, but because you are fulfilling the dream of those that came before.
What’s the point, Taurus? What guides your actions, directs your beliefs, and influences your speech? Why have you decided to take the route you’ve chosen, and who influenced your chosen career path? Do you still agree with the directives you’ve taken on, or is some new information coming to light now that changes your point of view?
You’ll be contemplating a new path at this time, in light of new information you receive this week. When a new point of view is offered, and you know its time to refine your agenda, you are allowed to take the time to deliberate what’s the best course of action moving forward. Don’t rush the process of redefining your intent and revisioning your future endeavors. It is important that you aim your bow at the optimal end-goal: the one of that satisfies your requirements for self actualization while still holding down your core beliefs. Make sure to aim true.
Every single seed you have planted has come to fruition now, with this week being the final moment for all the energy you have spent to come calling back in. Some connections have brought an increase in wealth, resources, and energy, while some relationships bring hard lessons, heart break, and pain. Each and every experience brings a wealth of information though, which will inform how you navigate the world moving forward.
This may be a tough week to be in social spaces, surrounded by people, participating in conversation. The realizations that come up to the present can make each experience too heavy and loaded now. Take a break from the need to perform and entertain others with your wit, communication, and insight. Reflect on how far you have come from the person you were last year, five years ago, ten year ago. You are in the process of clarifying how you impact the world around you. Have compassion for who you were in the past, before the knowledge you have gained in this moment.
This is your time to focus all of that love, intention, and intimacy on you, Cancer. There is a strong desire now to figure out what you actually want out of this time— what is yours and yours alone, and what you have picked up from others. Set new boundaries at this time with loved ones. Not because you want to distance yourself from those you love, but because you want to privilege and center your energy now.
Invest your energy in the personal projects you have going on right now— the focus on your career ambitions and the work you are doing to feel grounded and centered in your body.
Don’t make any decisions about who you are able to support in this time, and who you need to let go. People, in general, feel loud and overbearing right now and you’re much more sensitive to the energy they bring up. Take a break and work on yourself instead. Those that are able to hear and respect your boundaries this week will stay, and those that can’t listen will self-elect to go.
Even as you realize all the ways that you’ve gotten in your own way, you need to take a deep breath, and let it all go. I feel like the biggest mistake we make as human beings is the belief that we’re actually in control of this ride. You may be trying to figure out exactly how to correct every “mistake” you’ve made and every “wrong turn” you took that lead you so very far away from where you’d like to be right now, but the truth is you just weren’t ready.
You let your fears, your worries, your anxieties, and your people pleasing get in the way of going for that desire that you know in your heart is what you truly love. And you don’t need to make that mistake anymore— but you’re not going to unlearn it through nitpicking, criticizing, and shaming yourself for everything you’ve done wrong. You’re going to do it through trust in that power that emanates from the core of your being— your heart.
It is painful to feel separated and isolated from the people around you, and yet that same pain can be the genesis for creation. If you know you’re in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong people, you can use that knowledge to choose something better for you. Something more aligned with your creative spirit, your joy— a place that makes you feel alive and resonant.
Pay attention to the spaces that inspire your heart to open more profoundly to the world around you. Pay attention to the people that generate a creative spark in your being. Above all else, choose joy over resentment.
Now is the time to address some of the memories, beliefs, narratives, and pain that you still hold on to through your given family line. The way in which you hold this connection is shifting, because you are ready to lighten your load and shed the layer that is limiting you from stepping into your life path.
You don’t need to do this work with people that caused you to hold this trauma. You can clear this connection on your own. Bring forward the beliefs that you still hold about your worth as a person because of certain people’s actions or words. Remember that there is nothing wrong with you. You are not here by mistake. You chose this time, this place, and these people because they were vital to your path. Now, you can graciously let go of the hurtful words that were spoken but keep the underlying message— the lesson that was for you alone to learn.
You have to enjoy the process as much as you enjoy the outcome of your plans. When making all the little adjustments and changes in your daily life so that you can be in a better position to manifest your dreams, take a moment to enjoy the fullness of each moment. Every decision you’ve made in the last year to put yourself in a better position has added to the quality of your life.
Instead of focusing on everything there is still left to do in order to reach your goal, take this moment to appreciate how far you have come. Gratitude will greatly increase your chances of manifesting your dreams at this moment. Don’t rush the energetic reciprocity of the universe— instead, take this moment to thank yourself for everything you’ve done to reach this moment.
The sacrifices you had to make to get to this level of self-awareness are about to pay off. There is an energetic focus on your wealth, security, and resources now that all but ensures that any lack will soon be met with enough to see you through. But even as the tide starts to turn on your own personal fortune, don’t forget what it feels like to have everything stripped away.
As you begin to climb out of the feeling of not having enough, give back some of the energy that was given to you during times of need. Lend your support, energy, and compassion back to those that need it— especially a close friend or beau. During times of struggle, anxieties may have been expressed in anguish or pain. Address those messages of doubt now. Reverse the narrative. Center your trust in yourself, in the decisions you have made, and in the avenue of support that is about to open up before you.
Knowing who to trust is a matter of knowing what you’re actually trusting them with. If your self-esteem and self-value depend on validation from others, then no one is worthy of trust. You’re giving too much away and not holding enough for yourself— no one can sustain that.
But if you define your value only on the integrity and strength that you create within yourself, then everyone is worthy of trust. Not because they won’t betray you. But because you can handle any thing that comes your way without losing yourself in the process. The only ride or die in your life is yourself. Make it so.
Being useful isn’t about working yourself to the ground, proving you’re down, or giving all of your energy away. People who want this from you are not actually looking out for your best interest, they’re looking out for their own. You can’t hold that against them— what can you do instead is make sure you’re looking out for your own right now too.
There are certain responsibilities you have to keep— to your children, to your creative projects, and to yourself. And there are ones you can loose— draining partnerships, taxi family dynamics, and unhealthy work environments. Know the difference between places that are asking too much of you, and places where you’re expecting too much of yourself. Don’t blame others— just draw your boundaries more closely during this time. You’ll benefit from the increase in energy immediately.
If you haven’t detached from spending time and energy on output that is not optimal for your energy, now is the time to formulate the exit strategy. You need to give yourself adequate time and space this week to get clear with yourself about what you are doing why you are doing right now. If you’re working a side job just so you can focus on your creative projects— what’s the goal? When will you know it’s time to focus on what you’re really here to do?
If you’re in the right field but stuck doing menial tasks because you need to pay the bills, when will you center your creativity over operations and routine? Things won’t just magically fall into place because you wish them. You must make it so through strategic planning and trust. Trust that you know what your work is, and you just need to give yourself the space, time, and resources to make it happen.
