Weekly Horoscope: December 23rd – 29th, 2019

Celia Sagastume in SF

This week has beautiful energy— set a wish to change the world together with Capricorn new moon. We need more than intention— we need collective action. We started the year with a solar eclipse in Capricorn and we will end the year with a solar eclipse in Capricorn. How much has your life path changed in this last year? How has your vision for your future shifted because of the re-alignment of your work? In recognition of how much can transform in one year, set an intention on what you’d like to see blossom into fruition in the next one.

Dates to Watch:

  • December 24th, 2019: Sun trine Uranus
  • December 25th, 2019: New Moon Annular Solar Eclipse in Capricorn
  • December 27th, 2019: Sun conjunct Jupiter
  • December 28th, 2019: Mercury enters Capricorn

We started the year with a Solar Eclipse in your house of career and recognition, and we end the year with a Solar Eclipse the same way. How far have you come in that time? What mountain did you see in front of you that you were able to climb so easily, so fully, and so magnificently with the aide and magic of that lunation?

If you realize how much can be moved in a year without solid intention, imagine what can be done in the next with a plan? But don’t let this time be defined by what you can accomplish in terms of social recognition, status, and wealth— let it be defined by the softness and care that you have developed in your own heart. Set the stage for the next year by investing in the power of heart centered action. It takes great strength of character to approach the world with vulnerability. Make that your goal for the following year.

You have confronted the unknown and have come out the victor this year. 2019 moved you into new territory, challenged you to face your fear, and asked you to lean into discomfort in order to grow. 2020 will put you even further into realms that you have yet to explore— not because you need to experience more fear, but because you are ready for the challenge.

Greet new challenges with the a smile that stems from the trust you have found in your own capacity to move with the changes easily and gracefully. You are ready to flourish past the boundaries that you set for yourself, and you are ready to redefine what you are capable of. Take a leap of faith— faith that, no matter what the circumstance, you will find fruitful endeavors and peace of mind. Acceptance will lead the way to grace. Open your heart to the radical possibility that lies beyond what you have previously known.

Do not be apologetic about defining your desire in terms of what you are willing to accept and what you are willing to let go. Look back at this past year and recognize what you sacrificed because it was no longer serving you, and what you gained because you defined what you wanted to call in. Make no mistake— you have gained this new avenue of work because you recognized your potential and refused to let anyone convince you otherwise.

While you may have stepped into this practice unintentionally last year, make sure you spend the next doing it intentionally. Don’t let fear about your capacity or anxiety about your past keep you from reaching for what you know is yours. Let go of the limiting belief that you are not worthy because your time has past, and step into this present moment full of possibility instead.  Make the opportunities happen by continuing to choose you over any other worry. You have to let go of the past in order to make space for the future ahead. Leave it here now.

Learn to distinguish the difference between those who deserve your attention, care, and support, and this who will never be happy with your energy. You cannot sustain relationships with every person in your life— one, because you devote so much of yourself to others, and two, because very few can give that back to you. Now is the time to center those who can.

In the past year you have gained at least one connection that has transformed what you thought you were capable of in terms of intimacy, care, and mutual support. For this next year, make it your goal to grow connections only with those that continue to help you develop this level of intimacy and connection. Now is not the time for casual connections and callous relationships— you want more. And this is the year to expect that your energy be met by those in your life you choose to bring in to your circle.

You have had to reckon with limitations of your body, energy, and heart this year, and have been humbled by the experience. But the humility you have been asked to cultivate is not for the purpose of shrinking you down, or making you smaller and less sure of your own power. You have been working on the lesson of true value and integrity instead. Defined not by what you can offer others, but instead what you can offer yourself, you are stepping into this next year with more grace, more strength of character, and more integrity than you have developed before.

You are to face this coming year with the strong conviction to know what truly adds value to your life, and what is just for show. You will find meaningful work next year, and an expression of your energy that is truly unique and your own. You will do this by listening to yourself and acknowledging your limits, then slowly letting them expand with practice. Define how you want to focus your energy next year, knowing that you can’t do it all.

You have been challenged to take on a more authentic, creative expression in this last year, in order to satisfy your desire for a resonant way of life. Have you taken the risk to switch things up? Or do you find yourself surrounded by the same people, same work, same type of love, and same type out output?

We will start this next year with the same ask: to step into your power by trusting that you can develop an elevated form of expression. You will continue to develop and refine your craft in this upcoming year, and continue to take more risk in or to reveal what you truly value. What part of yourself have you been neglecting because you are afraid to reveal the depth of your desire? Incorporate it in this upcoming year, slowly, cautiously, but deliberately. Own what you most fear so that you no longer fear anything at all. Trust that you have been given this hunger for a reason.

Belonging is defined by the acceptance you are able to cultivate within your own heart. No one can give you the feeling of belonging until you learn to accept every single part of yourself first. The shadow, the hidden desires, the secret self that lurks in the dark— that part of you will always haunt you until you learn to bring them into the light. Every single one of us has a part of us that feels like it should be kept hidden from view.

But the longer that you keep yourself hidden, the farther you’ll feel from finding a home. The most difficult aspects of who you are are the ones that offer the most opportunity for growth now. Look at the decisions you made in the past that you’d rather forget. Face the things you said when you were hurt that you wish you could take back. Have the conversation you’ve been avoiding because you’re afraid of what they’ll say. Make a home for yourself in your heart. So that any thing that happens won’t shake the rootedness you feel on this Earth.

People can change. If you’ve learned nothing else in the last year, I know that you’ve had to witness the transformation of someone in your life that you never expected to see come to fruition. And if you can accept that someone can change so dramatically and so intensely by their own will and desire, then you have to come to terms with the fact that you are capable of the same transformation.

Even though you have taken many steps in the last year to finding a more resonant expression for your being, you still have a ways to go. Now that the external changes have manifested, it’s time for the internal shifts to begin. This will be the year that you decide you’re ready to share your vision. This will be the year that you step into your path. And this will be the year that you put words to the desires you’ve been sitting on for so long. You have set the stage this year— now act on it.

All the changes that came to pass this year happened so that you can get closer to the source of your own power. You’ve had to learn how to trust yourself, and how to roll with the punches quickly, effectively, and resolutely. Now, as you look back at the past year, you can see how you’ve learned to stand by your own word and keep your own ground.

In this coming year, you will take that strength and turn it into courage. Look back at how you have been able to withstand the changes that have been out of your control and still hold your own. Take that reflection and apply it moving forward. If you can roll with the shifts and not lose sight of yourself, what are you capable of when you intentionally choose a direction? You know now that you have the power to withstand any change and still land on your feet. What risks are you willing to take now? What reality seems more viable?

You will be the one to define your limits, your capacity, and your energy moving forward. This last year has brought forth many revelations about who you are, how people see you, and the energy you bring to every situation. Through the reflection offered by others in your life, you have witnessed your own behaviors and patterns. In this coming year, it will be up to you to decide what image you accept, and what image you reject.

Notice who makes you feel loved, appreciated, and safe to express the soft tender center of your being. Notice what situations bring up your defensiveness, your anxiety, and your worries. Choose for yourself the situations that ground you over those that separate you from your power. You will define your energy moving forward.

You are a visionary— full of hope, aspirations, and dreams for a future in which we are all treated fairly and recognized as equals. But that future does not exist in the present moment. This last year may have felt like a struggle between the vision you know you want to live, and the reality around you that falls short.

In this next year, there will be no more struggle. Instead of fighting against what you do not want, fight for what you do want. You are fully capable of realizing your dream for the future in this present moment. But, it requires you to act in order to create, instead of to destroy. Now that you have dismantled the structures in your life that did not align with your vision, what will you build in the space that has been created?

Community is such a tricky word these days. We have the false sense of global interconnectivity facilitated by the internet, and the vague sense of shared community with those we see on a regular basis through work, the social life, or your connections. But as we start a new decade, the need for connections that ground you and help you feel like you are part of something more than yourself becomes imperative.

Many friendships were transformed in the last year due to internet drama, conflicts, and just plain introversion on your part. But you know that having supportive, creative, inspiring connection is vital to your creative process. You work better with friends. So for this coming year, center your desire for vibrant connection. Accept people where they are, not where you think they should be. Welcome new energy and the inspiration it brings. Trust that you can find good people again.
