Nike Says: Go Crazy
Nike has been en fuego. Ever since the debut of Serena William’s ad “Dream Crazier,” my devotion has re-doubled. That ad makes me want to cry, sprint, and fly all at the same time. Seriously, watch this. Immediately.
It also makes me want some new gear in my life. Well-played, Nike.
Probably doesn’t help that I live approximately three blocks from one the flagship stores in Manhattan. I’m afraid to even go in the vicinity for fear of splurging on the new crystal-encrusted Air VaporMax Flyknit 2.0, a collab with Swarovski. Over 1,000 crystals meticulously woven into the mesh knit illuminate the sneaker. And just in case you don’t feel LIT-enough they come in the most stylish (read: perfect for spring) shade of neon green, limón.
This isn’t the first time Nike and the masters of bling, Swarovski, have teamed up, so clearly people are willing to drop $500+ for the one-of-a kind kick. And I’m incredibly tempted. I keep hearing Serena’s closing declaration, “Show them what crazy can do!”
I kind of feel like she was talking to me about this shoe, no crees?
