Moms Are Freaking Out Over This Thanksgiving Prank

As everyone braces themselves for large-scale fêtes across the U.S. this Thursday, the challenge of baking the perfect turkey looms over those baring the responsibilities of prepping and cooking. And who better to ask for help than one’s own mother?
Instagram and Twitter have been circulating a new Thanksgiving prank daring America’s “servant-less cooks” (quoting Julia Child here) to text their mothers asking how long to microwave the turkey for dinner. Just as we hoped, the results haven’t been disappointing:
Hey everyone text your parents and ask them how long you should put a 25lb turkey in the microwave for and post their replies below this tweet pic.twitter.com/A1egY8ov6G

Why microwave a turkey when you could be called a “num nutz” by your mother:
This mother clearly wasn’t too happy and concluded her son is adopted:

This mother tells her daughter to “shut up” and “never get married” after reading the prank text:

Finally, this young man really got a virtual spanking from his mother. Her response was not pretty:
Decided to do this whole ask ur mom how long it takes to microwave a turkey thing and this is what I get. Enjoy. pic.twitter.com/aA3DpXqMQT

So good luck to all with the turkeys this week, and Happy Thanksgiving! Or should we say, Pranksgiving…
