JLo Named CFDA Fashion Icon of 2019

Jennifer Lopez is having a banner year: newly betrothed, turning half a century in the skin and body of a twenty-one-year-old and now she’s won the recognition of The Council of Fashion Designers of America as this year’s most influential style icon.
On the red carpet the star told reporters she felt her most iconic fashion moment was the navel-plunging green Versace she wore to the Grammy’s back in 2000.
For this week’s CFDA Awards show, she wore a sequined, midriff-baring top by Ralph Lauren which seemed off-brand for Mr. Lifshitz, but exactly right for Jennifer. The full skirt with pockets, however, is super RL, especially in poppy red or orange as JLo referred to the color in her Instagram post.
Will this look go down in the fashion history books? Let us know in the comments.
