Cardi B takes on Carpool Karaoke

Cardi B and James Corden in a car

We absolutely loved Cardi B’s latest appearance on the Late Late Show with James Corden! The Bronx-native hopped into the car with James for a session of Carpool Karaoke in downtown Los Angeles. While there was the usual rapping and singing involved, the singing wasn’t even the best part. Here’s a few highlights:

In the middle of the journey, Cardi tells Corden about owning five luxury cars but that she doesn’t drive any of them.

“So what’s the point of having those cars?” Corden asks.

“Umm… to take pictures with them?” Cardi laughs. “Now that I [own these things]… I can actually rap about them!”

“But I think you should learn how to drive! You’ve got these incredible cars. These are cars people dream about driving!”

“But it’s scary...”

“Do you want me to give you a driving lesson?”

And before you know it, Cardi B is behind the wheel, attempting to navigate through an empty (thank goodness) parking lot while knocking down orange cones and flags. If I were James Corden, I would probably have worn a safety helmet and some extra padding. Just in case.

James and Cardi also spontaneously took over a zumba class at a local senior citizen center where Cardi rapped and danced with some lovely old folks to her song, “I Like It Like That.” At one point, a man who she danced with even asked if she was looking for a “significant other” (and honestly, could the timing be any better?).

Considering her recent separation with fiancée/rapper Offset, I’d say Cardi’s proving the world yet again the resilience of her human spirit and unstoppable personality.

So what did you think of Cardi B’s Carpool Karaoke with James Corden? Did you love her “money moves” or nah? Let us know in the comment section below!
