Can Love Trump Hate?

If you believe, as many do, that Donald Trump used hate to win the presidency, why wouldn’t you believe that Marianne Williamson can use love to do the same?
Many are asking this question as interest in Williamson grows rapidly. According to Google, she became the most searched candidate after this week’s debates. Although skeptics have criticized her statements regarding prescription medication and vaccinations, many feel she has the antidote to Trump’s rhetoric: inspirational influence.
“We’ve never dealt with a figure like this in American history before. This man, our president, is not just a politician; he’s a phenomenon. And an insider political game will not be able to defeat it. … The only thing that will defeat him is if we have a phenomenon of equal force, and that phenomenon is a moral uprising of the American people.” New York Times
Prior to Colbert’s recent critique, he and Williamson sat to discuss her book A Politics of Love and her astute perspectives on how to address the nation’s most hard-hitting issues. I hope we continue to hear more from her on the campaign trail. How about you? Let us know in the comment section below.
