#TravelTuesday: Marfa is More Than the Prada “Store”

If you had your heart set on shopping designer in the middle of the desert, you should know Prada Marfa is an art installation. No goods are actually for sale, although the authentic items inside were hand-picked by Miuccia Prada herself.

The sculpture was created back in 2005 by artists Elmgreen and Dragset as a commentary on urban gentrification and consumerism. The west Texas museum, located approximately 30 minutes outside of Marfa, is a definite must-see but not all the area has to offer.

Check out Trip Advisor’s top 8 attractions. Could be the perfect last-minute Memorial Day get-away.
