The Lo-Fi / Indie Music Playlist
I usually find lo-fi/indie music the perfect combination to listen to when traveling or commuting to work. There’s a mannerism in the music’s pulse that constantly perpetuates a “let’s do this” vibe inside you as you make your way to your destination.
It especially feels that way when you pop in songs like “Cita a Ciegas” by Chini and the Technicians or “Reptil No Gentil” by Playa Gótica, both of which are Chilean indie groups that first banded in the early 2010s.
If you’re feeling a little more alternative (think Arctic Monkeys), try “La Novedad” by Tus Amigos Nuevos (another band from Chile – oops! I can’t help but expose my country of preference for indie music). For a hint of Brazilian hip hop, listen to Solveris’ “Paraíso Sujo” or DJ Caique’s “Cherryblossom.”
Now, for the more ethereal, other-worldly, “lo-fi” tracks: “Las rosas en el límite del noventa y ocho” by Boundary. That’s going to whisk you away into outer space. Figuratively and metaphorically, of course.
