Marta Eclipses Ronaldo and Pele

It’s official. Marta Vieria da Silva is now the most prolific scorer in World Cup final’s history. During a match with Italy this week at the 2019 Women’s World Cup, hosted in France, Marta set a new record, again. She scored the winning goal of the match, and sparked discussion about her individual status as GOAT.

With 17 goals in 19 matches, Marta now has two more World Cup goals than her compatriot Ronaldo and five more than Brazilian icon Pele, a three-time World Cup winner.

This Women’s World Cup 2019, she is definitely one to watch. Oui!
