La Esquina in NYC: Tacos Made with Love
Every day of the week is perfect for tacos (just sayin’ #tacotuesday), and La Esquina in NYC always delivers. They also deliver, deliver. Google it, foo.
The flagship location is located in Soho at the corner of Lafayette and Kenmare offering a great selection of tacos, ensaladas, and quesadillas. They even have a special breakfast taco for your AM commute.
Their famous Angus ribeye tacos are to die for but vegetarian options can be found on the menu. I highly recommend you try the Esquina Chips (organic and non-GMO), and round out with a delicious horchata to give your tummy the comfort food feels it deserves. Or you can be about the Elote Callejero life. There’s no judgment here, fam.
La Esquina launched in 2006, and seems unfazed by being tucked next to Lt. Joseph Petrosino Square. Side-note, Leonardo DiCaprio is set to star in a film where he will portray Petrosino, which is based on Stephan Talty’s book of the same title, “The Black Hand.” Wild, right?
Aside from bomb tacos, La Esquina is also home to a Brasserie (located downstairs) that doubles as a fully fleshed-out music venue. They have expanded twice over since opening, and now have locations in both midtown and uptown. #theglowupisreal
Look, all I’m saying is: If you’re in NYC, do yourself a favor and hook up your crew. La Esquina will hold it down for you, keeping the Mexican cooking tradition alive using fresh ingredients and puro amor.
