Is Astrology the Master Matchmaker?

Stutterstock: Love & Astrology

I’m no expert in Astrology, that’s why we have Astrosagas 😉 I don’t even know my rising sign and the “other one.” All I know is that I was born between October 23rd and November 21st which makes me a Scorpio, and I identify very much with the traits. I wear a gold Scorpio pendant every day that when people notice, they usually wince, saying with a raised eyebrow, “Oh, you’re a Scorpio.”

I get it, there is a certain intensity to my personality that can seem heavy to some. Luckily, there are also people born between June 21st and July 22nd who are about it. Enter: Cancer.

According to astrological experts, the match between Scorpio and Cancer is rated a 10 out of 10. Mostly for a shared depth of emotion and empathy which sounds real cute until pangs of moodiness hit. Both are water signs but Cancer can go with the flow more than Scorpios, which I do find helpful in my rigid moments. And for an independent Scorpio like me, Cancer’s desire to be nurturing helps me do less and receive more.

Of my four long-term relationships, I’ve dated one Aries (ouch), two Taurus (yes, I’m a glutton for punishment), and a Leo (like my dad). I cannot attribute the high compatibility of this match completely to the Goddess Divine, but the written research and the experienced data I’ve collected, do correlate. I feel an intrinsic bond with this Cancer.

juntos ❤️ 5/12/2019 NY . . . “That which is to give light must endure burning.” —Ellie Wiesel Recently, I shared one of my favorite quotes with my GF, Jessica (@nuevayorka), and it sparked hours of conversation. I have never spoken at such length about “all the things” with someone before and felt like the person fully understood me and where I was coming from. It was mind blowing. Who was I to deserve this? Me, an immigrant kid from Central America that felt like he was shouldering the weight of the isthmus on his shoulders. So many of the hardships in life serve as reminders that if we take the pain and gift light back into the world we may just get lucky enough to find a flame that matches our own. Not all is lost in the great fire that forges our character, and that makes me ever grateful. AND DESERVING AF. #mondaymotivation #novios #amor
