It makes you feel seen and heard by people you admire and the few strangers who causally find you. And while some of those strangers are definitely bots, it still makes you feel like an everyday celebrity. We are all guilty of seeking the approval of others on Instagram. That’s why we post selfies with our best angles, post photos of our best outfits and live our vacations in real-time on Instagram stories, instead of actually unplugging from the internet. However, at what point do we start living for the gaze of others rather than living more intentionally for ourselves?
